Obsidian Royale
A restrained live-casino concept that uses editorial pacing, tangible table imagery and service-oriented language instead of a noisy game grid.
01 / Situation
The situation
Premium positioning is often expressed by adding more gold, more animation and more promotional surfaces. The harder design problem was to create perceived value through control: fewer visible options, stronger curation and a clear route into the live table experience.
Invite → Curate → Choose
02 / Design logic
Design decisions
Curate before cataloguing
The hero and evening programme establish mood and point of view. The wider table catalogue appears after the value proposition rather than competing with it.
Make game types recognisable
Roulette, blackjack and baccarat are represented through concrete tables, dealers and equipment. Abstract placeholder art was replaced after review.
Use gold as emphasis
Bronze and gold gradients concentrate around priority actions and spatial depth. Dark neutral space remains dominant so the interface does not become ornamental noise.

What the work changes
One of three deliberately different casino interface directions
The lobby opens with one cinematic invitation, follows with a tightly edited evening programme and then reveals the wider table catalogue. La Maison Rouge now reads immediately as a roulette salon, so the feature sells an experience rather than an abstract mood.
Compare edited recommendations with direct catalogue entry.
Measure time and backtracking before a user opens a table.
Track whether programme and table preferences support quicker return sessions.
